Q:Can someone explain what is the difference between vertical wood planks and horizontal wood planks how would it work

Answer This Question
A: Vertical refers to the orientation of the bamboo strips as they are laminated together; vertical means you’ll see many narrow bands of wood on the top, and horizontal means you’ll see fewer wide bands. The shape of the flooring plank is the same, and no difference in installation.

A: The terms “horizontal” and “vertical” refer to the manner in which bamboo strips are laminated together. In the horizontal style, the strips are laid flat so the top surface shows the bamboo's natural growth rings, or “knuckles".

Q:Does bamboo get dents from dressers, bed frame legs, heavy desks? I heard it is soft. Is it warmer than wood?
by|Jan 1, 2017

Answer This Question
A: All wood floors can get dents and scratches from heavy items. Bamboo is harder than wood from what I understand. So far I haven't had an issue, but I did buy natural color to not show scratches. Also, I think some of the durability depends on the backing you purchase and that makes it more comfortable under your legs. I really love it so far. Also, for my diningroom, I put a persian rug under the table and chairs to help with issues of constant furniture moving and it does help. That is what scratches the floors. No issues with dogs and cats and also it is so much cleaner and better for our allergies than the carpeting.
