Q:What's its total continuously needed current? 5A?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. On high speed, the fan only uses .51A not including the light. With the included bulbs, the fan would use less than 1A on high speed. Less on medium and low speeds.

Q:We want to replace our back porch light with this ceiling fan/light combination. The branch has several outdoor lights on it and is on a dimmer.
To do a self install will I have to replace the dimmer with a switch? Or an the fan be wired around the dimmer somehow? I'm not really sure if I am asking the right question.

Answer This Question
A: I would probably replace the dimmer with a switch. I am pretty sure that the dimmer would work well with the lights, but the motor already has 3 speeds that are controlled with the pull chain, and I don't feel it would work correctly if wired through the dimmer if the dimmer is not in max.

A: Thank you for your question. The an has separate wires for fan speed power (black) and light power (blue). The fan's light wire can be connected to a dimmer switch, but not the fan speed power. The fan speed power wire should be connected to either a standard on/off switch, a variable speed control, or directly to the house's constant power wire. If you have questions about specialty wring connections, we would suggest contacting a licensed electrician to make sure the wiring is done correctly.

Q:if I purchase the Hampton bay universal remote model 68130 will I be able to dim the lights on this Gazelle model? does it all ready come with dimable LED lights?

Answer This Question
A: The Gazelle fan does not include a dimming feature. Standard LED bulbs will work properly. However, the dimming function is going to be controlled by the remote control receiver that you plan to install. The function of the remote receiver is going to determine if the LED function properly.

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, if you add the referenced remote control, the light kit will be able to dim via the remote. The bulbs included with the light are not dimmable, so they will have to be replaced with dimmable bulbs. Please note that the light kit will need to be turned on initially using the pull chain before the remote will control the light. Once the light is turned on once with the pull chain, the remote will take over control.

A: the fan for use outdoor is treated with material that is not supposed to rust or mildew. When ordering it will have either for indoor/outdoor use. The outdoor use is a bit more expensive. I put mine on the covered porch.
