Q:I purchased a Home Decorators Collection Freemont Single Vanity at 31" wide with a granite top. This did not come with a backsplash or sidesplash. I need to install a backsplash and cannot find a 4" granite backsplash. Is this only available from a granite fabricator? 1) Why doesn't THD sell backsplashes? 2) Is this Napoli granite a match for the Freemont vanity from HDC? If so, I can purchase two sidesplashes and hide the seam behind the faucet.

A: When I was doing my project, all HD showed was the 20" side splash for the 22" wide vanity tops. My inquires with HD/Pegasus found the SKU number 205866055/model number 43603/item number 1001-260-591, for the Napoli color top which measured 21". I explained the web-site info needed to be up-dated etc. The part "out of the box", for the part number I have here, measures an actual 21". I'll look to see the on-line spec's. Don't know why they would write the spec with out double checking. Best to do is call customer service and have them get the Pegasus rep for help and have it shipped to your local store. Have THEM open box in store and measure/inspect. That way if anything is wrong the store returns and you don't have to. Once you take it out of store it's up to you to handle shipping costs.
