Answer This Question
A: Width of front place is 7/8 inch thick. By the way , it is a nice cabinet for the price.
by|Jul 3, 2020
A: 43 inches.

A: I am the original poster of the question. I was asking for the WIDTH of that front plate not the depth of it. I am expecting the width of that front plate to be somewhere between 15 and 19 inches. What I am still interested in is the exact measurement of that width. If I opened the top drawer of the cabinet and measured the front of the drawer from side to side, how wide would that be?

A: Hi wanda, unfortunately we do not have an assembly service that can be added to your order on Homedepot.com. I believe the best advice would be to talk to one of our specialty department professionals at your local Home Depot store or you may be able to find a Home Depot recommended professional in your area at proreferral.com. Please visit proreferral.com for further assistance with this particular project inquiry. Thanks for shopping Home Depot!

A: Strange that this would be directed to a customer rather than an associate at Home Depot, however I will tell you what I know. I bought my cabinet at Home Depot in Chesapeake, Virginia. I asked if it could be assembled by a store associate and was told yes. The "yes" of course is followed by "at a cost". I cannot remember the amount but I opted to construct it myself. Truth be told, I did get it together, carefully following the instructions which are all in the form of drawings. Did a good job but vowed never to do it again....Bottom line...Unless you have high confidence in your ability, pay to have them do it. It is not difficult but time consuming and requires attention to detail. As a side note...It is a very nice and attractive product!

A: I have the 4 drawer sitting on carpet in a corner and all the drawers are full and there is no issue with tipping. It’s a pretty sturdy unit. I’m happy with the purchase.

A: The listed weights are wrong. They do not weigh the same. The 2 drawer is built same as 4 drawer.

A: I have the 4 drawer, I would certainly say it weighs more than 50lbs! I'm certain the box said it was closer to 110lbs?? Maybe it's entered incorrectly on Home Depot website?
If it had weighed 50lbs I would have been able to get it to my second floor office without assistance, lol that was not the case with this thing. It is VERY heavy, and VERY sturdy. I used the anchor strap, but I do not feel like it will tip over even with the top 2 drawers opened. Hope this helps!

A: Anchor the draw to the wall for safety reasons. It's not a problem if you pull one draw at a time but all draws out at once will make it fall forward due to the heavy weights on the draws. I don't have mine anchored to the wall as I'm careful when opening but it looks great and keeps my paperwork organized.
