A: Hi Deeter, don't see why you could not put the shorter blades on the 60" fan. But lets set this straight Home Depot has nothing to do with a mfr. not caring a fan in a color you want, they quite making it in brushed Nickel so that is why you can't order it.

A: Hello, No the DR cannot be shortened/cut as this will effect the running and balancing of your fan. 4.5" DR is the shortest. THX

A: Hello, Yes this fan comes with a 4.5" down rod. Your local HD should carry a Oil Rubbed Bronze up to a 48" length. You can always special order one on homedepot.com. Please ensure it is a 3/4" down rod that is threaded on 1 end. THX

Q:If I hook up the receiver and use only the remote to turn the fan and light on and off, can I just leave the light switch in the "on" position from here on out? Does that waste electricity?
