A: Hello Ally and thank you for your question.
Installation instructions are located here: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/c8/c8252206-c1f1-4009-b490-5b2b114635f8.pdf.
Under Step 3, it shows the mounting bracket provides installation to the ceiling or to the wall depending upon the placement of the bracket screws. This should allow installation into your wood frame.
Best wishes on your project.

Answer This Question
A: Hello xxbb,
The manufacturer specifies a min. depth of 1" for inside mount.
To view a video of how to install this product, click on the smaller boxes with an arrow, located under the photo of this product, on the Home Depot.com
The brackets for mounting these shades will need to be screwed in and you may not have enough depth to properly secure the mounting.
If you were able to secure the mounting bracket your blind would be shifted out about 1/4".

Then detailed installation instructions and product specifications can be found by clicking on the orange arrow beside the word “specification” which is below the product’s photo of on Home Depot.com.
