Answer This Question
A: Thanks for your inquiry. These are semi- private shades provide filtered light and protect your furniture from fading. For additional privacy or neutral backing, you can attach a fabric privacy liner to the back side of natural shades. Another option for additional privacy is to outside mount natural shades, then inside mount an inexpensive white black out roller blind. Fabric privacy liners and black out roller blinds both can be purchased on homedepot.com.

A: These offer little to no privacy. If the lights are on in the house at night, you can see through these as if there were no blinds up. They are beautiful and functional otherwise.

Q:What is the difference in this shade, the espresso beveled reed weave and the Espresso privacy fine weave shade? They look the same.

Answer This Question
A: Dear Valued Customer,
The Beveled Weave is an open weave with less strings holding the slats together. The Espresso privacy has slats that overlap each other and is more private than the Beveled Weave.

A: Dear Customer,
We do not advise cutting the width of the blind, without the proper manufacturing tools and if not cut correctly the hardware in the headrail could be damaged. We are sorry to advise that this will have to be done at your own discretion. All warranties are voided if modifications are done.

A: This picture shows a valence, is this because you are able to flip the top of the blind over to cover the grommet and give the appearance of a valence? Sorry, I know this isn't an answer, but more like another question. The picture shows a beveled reed weave, not a flat weave.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Likebamboo and thank you for your question.
You will need to install the roman shade as an “outside mount” on a door. Refer to Step 3 - Figure D of the Use and Care Guide located here;: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/5b/5b0fe829-a073-41ae-9955-2b9296848d52.pdf.
Best wishes on your project.

A: These blinds are designed to be used on windows, not doors. It is impossible for me to answer your question because I do not know the construction of your door, and exactly where you would best mount the hardware. Visit your local store and talk to one of the people in the window coverings department.

Q:My window measures 35.5 in. wide. Will a 35 or 36 inch width work for inside mount?
by|Jan 26, 2015
2 Answers
Answer This Question
A: It depends on the specific width of the window.
If you accurately measured the inside of the window frame at 35.5 inches, a 36 inch blind would be exactly 35.5 inches, since most blinds manufacturers give themselves a 1/2" shorter width assuming you are mounting them inside the frame, which is common.
