A:  As stated in instruction manual the sensor works best when motion is going from "side to side". Motion sensors in general can have a "blind spot" affect when motion approaches straight on in a direct line. To prevent this blind spot affect, suggestion would be to turn the sensor slightly to the left or right to create that motion as a "side to side".

A:  It does. This light has the DualBrite feature which allows it to stay on at reduced brightness and then move to full bright when motion is detected. You can set the amount of time you want the light to stay on full bright after motion is detected to either 1, 5, or 20 minutes. A:  It would appear that the light is sensing that there is daylight in the area and that causes the photocell to tell the light not to come on: when you place the button into test mode then you are disabling the photocell which allows the light to come on in any condition--- suggest you: -place light switch in power on position -take a piece of black tape and place over the photocell which is a clear lens on the bottom of the sensor -move ontime switch to 1 minute this should make the light come on for as long as motion sensed if your light does not respond to this test please call the customer service at 1-800-858-8501
