A:  This push button will work with most doorbell models. If you have a doorbell that has an electronic sound base (it plays songs or melodies through a speaker) and not a standard mechanical tone bar (limited to ding-dong and ding sounds), then you will need to put a diode on your push button. Please see the image below for an explanation on how to do that. If you do have an electronic sound base, your current push button has a diode that you can use with your new push button.
