A:  The light is white coming off these lights but over time they'll yellow due to the sun tinting the plastic lenses.

A:  No, The lights described do not come in soft yellow, however, the warmth rating is what is the determinant for basic color. Lumen level will give you the brightness. For these lights, you'll get 10 lumens and a warmth rating of 3000. Basically, shop for the warm rating which is lower and it will be a bit less white seeming. There a many from which to choose, but you'll want a warmth rating of less that 3000 and a lumen rating around. 10. Solar re-chargeable lights can only do so much in terms of providing lights and the warmth rating desired. You may do better by purchasing a low voltage 24v system which may offer a variety of warm options, much like you would purchase bulbs for your home. Some LED are brighter and warmer than others. Good luck in your search for the correct warmth rating and brightness.

A:  Hi Jack I would imagine if you contacted the manufacturer about a broken one you have, they'll probably send you one, but to buy a few to have laying around in case they break, who knows. They might sell you some but they'd have to be real cheap to consider it. I got mine for 9 dollars for 6 on sale online and picked them up in the store when they arrived.

A:  Hi Tracy....The 3000k is a number used to indicate the type of color the bulb produces, 3000k in this case produces a warm white color. For an example, 5000k produces light with a blue tint to it. 5000k is a brighter light but it has a blue tint which is also referred to as a daylight bulb. It's there so when you go to buy a bulb that isn't lit and on display, you can tell which type of color tint the bulb is going to produce. Lumens is the intensity of the light, the higher the lumens the brighter the light. I own some of these solar lights and they do a pretty good job of lighting an area of around 10 feet in diameter. Of course that depends on how much surrounding light there is where you put them, if it's really dark where they're put they'll seem brighter than if there's street lights lighting up the area. A:  The color is different than lumens. Lumens are a measure of the brightness of the light, not the color of the light. I have been using them for several months and am very happy with them.

A:  The 3000k is for the shade of white, these are a warm pale yellow type light, not a bluish white light. The lumens (1 lumen is equivalent to one candle) is the brightness of light output, so at max. output, each light is about 6 candles bright.
