Answer This Question

A:  This item is currently discontinued. Check with your local home depot store for availability.

by|Oct 29, 2018

A:  I think the closest thing that Home Depot now offers is model ms-ledhd505 rob.

    by|Oct 29, 2018

A:  Unfortunately, I haven't seen these fixtures available for about a year. We installed quite a few at our retirement community and also experienced our fair share of electronics failures. But similar fixtures with a similar combination of features for price are not easy to find in the market.

      Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately this item is discontinued.

      by|May 5, 2023

A:  How on earth would a customer know? Only Home Depot can answer when they will order this again and/or when Hampton Bay will provide it again. If I had to guess why it was discontinued I would say it's due to a reliability problem with the motion sensor, which stopped working on 3 of the 4 lanterns that I purchased.

A:  This one is really good for dawn to dusk , I specifically like it for the dark sky project and the fact that it does not shine in my eye when i approach the house.

A:  It's a bad product. A blinking light is more than many of us got.

A:  What kind of bulb are you using? If using a energy saving bulb, it has to be dimmable to work

              by|May 4, 2023

A:  It's most likely the sensor, especially if others are having the same problem. It would be possible, but difficult to fix this. Just return it for an exchange or use another fixture, unfortunaltely.

A:  mine too. after <2 years ... dead.

                  by|Nov 14, 2018

A:  No tips. Mine did the same thing and I stated that in my recent review of this fixture....after scouring the Internet for a light that had the same features and appearance, which I loved,, I found only one at 4 times the price but is warranties for a much longer period....... So you can pay more money, or you can purchase another exactly like this one and at the same time purchase the Home Depot warranty. By the way, I also stated that in my review....but some Home Depot Review Board of reviewers sent me an email telling me that my review didn't meet their standards and it would not be published.

A:  It seems to be a common problem with this lamp. I returned mine, and bought a different brand.

A:  Same problem happened to BOTH copies of mine - first lasted about a year, the second a couple of months. They don't last, and I haven't bothered to figure out why

A:  It is not recommended to remove the sensor. The fixture can be used indoors.

A:  Yes, you can rewire the fixture for use indoors. I bypassed the sensor on all of mine with no issues.

A:  You can use LEDs that are designed to replace incandescent style bulbs with a medium bulb base.

Q:I'd like to install exterior lighting in my backyard. Ideally, a motion sensor light that also offers an outlet. I only see one exterior light with outlet being offered on this site, but unfortunately it is not a motion sensor light. Can you use a socket with outlet on this light, or have a suggestion? I appreciate any help, thank you.

A:  A screw-in socket adapter will fit into fixture.

A:  I think I know what you are asking, but I would not recommend installing a light socket receptacle outdoors, even indoors is questionable. I know it is pricey, but I would suggest that you have an electrician install a weatherproof receptacle box for you in a convenient location on the outside wall of your house.
