A:  no it does not, but there are many ways to make a pull chian for about $5 and a little time, but I suggest hooking a switch to the wall or ceiling to make it more professional, safe and has longevity same price $5 ---Gary

A:  Track lights are designed to be installed on walls or ceiling. They are controlled with a wall switch, so there is no pull chain. In renovations I have added a pull chain to basic circular lights in older apartments, however there are many restrictions and limitations in doing so. If you require a pull chain light, I would stop into a home depot store and ask a associate for guidance on your situation and skill level.

    A:  No. It doesn't.

A:  They are basically the same with the exception of the actual design. Both are 3 buss systems and interchangeable (will work with one another).

Q:The led version seems to be 100 dollars, almost 75 bucks more expensive. Any reason this light with led bulbs wouldn't do the same thing? Thanks for your time...

        Answer This Question

A:  I like this version even better! As led technology improves you can easily swap out the lamps for newer versions! Go with this one and you'll be glad you did.

        by|Jun 9, 2019

A:  The more expensive version uses integrated LED technology and a has a new more modern design. They also tend to last longer than fixtures using LED bulbs as the heat dissipation is far superior. You may also be looking at something on sale. The version you are referencing is a much older step head design.

Q:I require six light fixtures. Will this fixture support adding another length of track and 3 additional fixtures? Or, better yet do they manufacture a model with 6 fixtures? Thanks!

                Answer This Question

A:  Yes it will support another track... I don't think they have a kit but you can make your own by getting a 8 ft track you can adjust to size and add whatever kind of track light heads.

                by|Nov 6, 2018

A:  I think if you use LED lights, because of the low wattage (7 watts instead of 65 watts) you shouldn't have a problem. I wouldn't use standard bulbs.

A:  It can work, however if you have very precise mounting locations extra holes could be required.

A:  The electrical hookup can be placed in middle of track. The track is just a track - the electrical connector is placed on track and connected to electrical ceiling box...

Q:The picture shows "curly" light bulbs, but the description says to use dimmable R20 bulbs. I would rather use the compact fluorescent "curly" light bulbs like I use in the rest of my house. Is this possible with this specific track light? thanks

                        Answer This Question

A:  You could use compact florescent "curly' but can lighting is designed to have a wide light such as with a flood light bulb. You use R20 dimmable if you plan on using a dimmer switch.

                        by|May 5, 2023

A:  R20 refers to the size of the bulb and the threaded base. You can buy R20 compact fluorescent bulbs. If you're not using a dimmer, they don't have to be dimmable. However, I would recommend R20 LED bulbs, (2700 degree color). Less power consumption, nice bright, warm light, longer lasting than compact fluorescent, and no dangerous mercury if they break or when you need to dispose of them. Compact fluorescent were a step in the right direction over incandescent bulbs, but LEDs are that much better. Like fax machines, I think CFs are on the way out. Just my 02 cents...

A:  I used Ecosmart PAR 20 Led bulbs 50 w (spots)daylight 5000 kelvin with 525 lumens to illuminate a wall display. Don't know why you would want to use CFL's when leds come in all bulb shapes and brightness. The higher the degrees K the brighter and closer to daylight. 3000 k is a warm yellow light and the angle of the bulb in degrees determines how the light spreads. Still if you want to use CFL's any Bulb with an standard base it should work fine, will not dim however. I did not use a dimmer with my display lights.
