Q:One of the pull chains got stuck on one of the blades which caused the light kit pan to loosen. Now there's a sizeable gap between the light kit pan, and the fan starts to wobble when I pull on the pull chains. Is there a way to adjust the light kit pan?

A:  Thank you for your question. Are you able to manually straighten the light kit pan? The glass globe will need to be removed the bulbs will need to be removed and in the light kit fitter assembly you will have two screws that need to be loosened to remove the light kit pan. If you can not manually straighten the light kit pan you might need to order a new light kit pan depends on the gap.     Q:Which fan wire controls the fan and which the light? I tried installing a Lutron Maestro wall switch and did not work as expected. From instructions there are Black&Blue together, White, Green. Which is Fan and which is light? Thanks.

    A:  Thank you for your question. The fan black wire is the fan speed power, the fan blue wire is light power and the white wire is neutral.

        A:  Thank you for your question. The fan is compatible with switches for fan and light control. Please note tha any switch used for the fan speed control must be a variable speed switch, not a dimer style switch. A dimmer can be used for the light. Pleae note that is using a dimmer for the light, the included bulbs will need to be replaced with dimmable bulbs.

          A:  Thank you for your question. No, the 44" Windward does not include a remote. It is compatible with any Hampton Bay universal ceiling fan remotes.

            Q:I already have this fan in the 52" & I love it, but it's a bit big for my kitchen. The blades hit the cabinet door when the door is open. This may sound crazy, but if I bought this fan could I just use these blades to replace the larger ones?

            A:  Thank you for your question. No, in general, ceiling fans should only be operated with the blades that were included with the fan. Changing blade size/shape can lead to motor damage. The installation method is different and the blades for the 44" Windward are not compatible with the 52" version.

              Q:can I install it without using the downrod? I have a low ceiling. present fan is 13 1/2" length.

                A:  Thank you for your question. The fan does not have an option to be installed without the light kit, but the light does not have to be used once it is installed.

                  A:  Sure, turn out the lamp and pull the fan pull.  I believe you can even order a fan without a light kit.
