Q:can you use a soft white bulb? I hate LED lights its like a hospital room. I see LED I am turned off so want to make sure I can use a soft light over something harsh.

    A:  Thank you for your question. There are a few reasons tha the lights could blink. 1) the bulbs being used exceed the socket watt limit. Each socket of the light kit is rated for 60-watts maximum. 2) loose wire connections. Please make sure the wires are completely and securely connected between the light kit and fan and between the fan and receiver and then receiver to the house wires. 3) Remote interference. The receiver may be receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area. This can be resolved by changing the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver. Changing the dip switch settings will change the frequency of the remote to avoid the interfering signal. If those tips do not resolve the issue, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

      Q:Has anybody had a problem with the light kit the inside where the lightbulbs screw in are loose and one does it even make good contact it flickers

      A:  We are not aware of this issue. Please make sure that the bulbs are the right size and completely screwed in to the sockets. Also, if using a dimmer, make sure that the bulbs are dimmable bulbs. If this does not resolve the issue, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

          A:  Thank you for your question. No, the fan's direction can only be controlled via the manual revere switch. The reverse switch is conveniently located at the base of the fan, just above the light kit.

              A:  Thank you for your question. Technically, yes, but it will require altering the wiring for the fan. If you want to install the fan with switches instead of the remote, you will need to cut the wire harness plug from the fan wires. Once that is removed, you will have separate wires to connect to the switch wires: Black (fan speed power wire), Blue (light power wire), and white (neutral wire).

                Q:What is the correct cfm for this fan? Product detail images show 4300 but specification shows 5300. I need to know if this is faster than Rockport which is at 4900, and already in two of my other bedrooms.
