A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, 1 pull of the light chain will turn on 2 lights, another pull will turn the first 2 off and turn on the other 2 lights. A third pull will turn on all lights. A fourth pull will turn off all lights.

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. We do not recommend installing a remote on the Carriage House fan because there is not a dedicated space in the housing to securely hold the remote receiver.

Q:What type of dual light/fan switch is needed for these LED lights
        by|Feb 4, 2024

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. The fan is compatible with most wall controls as long as the sped control is a variable speed control (not a dimmer) and the light control is rated for LED use. We would recommend the Lutron Maestro switch (model #MACL-LFQH-WH).

Q:Can a rheostat fan controller be used for more variable fan speeds?
              by|Jan 15, 2024
              1 Answer
              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. No, any speed control switch must be a variable speed switch. Using a rheostat or dimmer style switch to control the fan speed will damage the motor.

Q:Re: the compatible wall control switch - HB recommend the Lutron Skylark switch (model # S2-LFSQH-WH) & said the fan speed control must be a variable speed switch, not a dimmer style. This switch has 2 slider controls so what is meant by dimmer style?

                1 Answer
                Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. The Lutron Skylark switches 3 defined speeds. Even though the control is a slider, the slider will stop at 3 defined settings. A dimmer style switch does not have defined speeds. For the LED version of the Carriage House fan, we would recommend the Lutron Maestro switch instead since the Skylark switch is not rated for LED lighting.
