    A:  This trim is for use with Halo 3" housings (either line voltage or low-voltage housings). The line voltage housings use a GU10 type lamp and the low-voltage housings use MR16 type lamps. These lamps are available in different beam spread options which will determine how much light coverage you will have. Also, the spacing of the fixture from a wall or object, will help determine coverage.

        A:  Dear valued consumer, this trim does not ship with a lamp/light bulb. You would just need to be sure to purchase a dimmable bulb. Please refer to the spec sheet on the product page on homedepot.com for this product for recommended lamp styles.

          A:  Yes, the fixture itself can be used with a dimmer switch as long as it is used in conjunction with a dimming compatible bulb.
