Q:If I have a 0.50 o.d. immersible cable, will this fitting provide an IP67 seal on the cable on the outside of my box and also allow the cable to extend thru the fitting into the box without removing the cable's outer sheath? I am not using conduit.

        A:  I just bought this fitting. I do not like it. The threads strip. I used this for my rubber cord stock, which is just under a hair 3/4". I will never use this item again. I do not think this will last. Next time I will use metal.

              A:  Halex website says Fits Cord Range: .410-.740 so 12/3 will easily fit through but is probably smaller than .410 so it may not tighten onto the 12/3.
