A: The chemicals in treated lumber can cause/accelerate corrosion on fasteners not rated for treated lumber. I have seen this often in fencing. You could contact the manufacturer also @ 1-800-676-7777.
The box clearly states:
1. Should not be used in treated lumber.
2. Should not be used where surface rust is unacceptable.

Q:Can I use these screws to screw into drywall, over plaster walls? Or is there a different type of screw recommended for this? I'm not finding any that say they can screw into plaster...only into wood studs or metal studs. I'm only needing to replace a 6 x 80" area of my kitchen wall/end.

A: You will always want to anchor drywall into some solid substrate such as wood or metal studs. If you can locate the studs beneath the original plaster, you could buy screws long enough to reach through to those studs.

A: You need a longer screw to screw through the drywall and plaster and then into the wood stud
by|Dec 23, 2021
A: Yes. These will work for that job. May want to check sizing to make sure there is enough bite into studs/shiplap behind plaster. Usually need about a half inch so depending on thickness may need to go to a 2 inch

A: Yes maybe a longer screw is needed to catch the beams
