A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Our StayLock Borders are designed to interlock with our StayLock Tiles. You would need to purchase three borders to complete your 36 inch doorway transition. Thank you, the Greatmats Team

Q:I just ordered a large quantity of these mats for my exercise room. I have three door way entrances to the room. I plan to use the borders across the doorways, but this looks like a better solution as it will be a sloping transition rather than an abrupt one. Will it mate up to the pebbletop? That product is not listed in the specs, and it is not as thick as the pebbletop. Also, I would like to know the best way to cut the pebbletop to fit the room. Is a box cutter, a very sharp box cutter, the best instrument for the task? I want to go wall to wall and have left space under the base board to accommodate the floor tiles.

                Answer This Question

A:  You are correct that this ramp is somewhat thinner than the pebbletop flooring in Greatmats. Since this product is sold online (I work at a Home Depot store sorta near you in Atlanta), I can't tell if this ramp will match up. It is the same brand, but I can't say for sure it would work until you tried it. You can return it at your local store if it doesn't work to your expectations. In terms of cutting the mats themselves, you can indeed use a sharp utility knife alongside a straight edge (preferably metal), to ensure you get a straight cut. Joseph
