Questions and Answers for Grape Solar 200-Watt Off-Grid Solar Panel Kit

A:  A single 200W solar panel can provide between 600 and 1000 watts daily, depending on location, azimuth, and tilt angle. Paired with an appropriately-sized battery bank, this is enough power to run a couple of small appliances or devices such as coffee makers, laptops, LED lights, small TVs, or even a small refrigerator or microwave. Running multiple devices simultaneously or for extended periods will most likely require additional panels.

A:  Different battery chemistries have different pros and cons. Sealed Lead Acid and AGM batteries are both popular choices for our customers.

A:  With a 200W system I recommend at least 100Ah (amp-hours). You will need to ensure that it's a deep cycle battery, and not an automotive or starter battery.

A:  We offer a 15ft extension wire that can be purchased separately (GS-MC4-15).

A:  This charge controller is only intended to moderate the power coming from a solar panel going to a 12V or 24V battery bank. The DC load can be used to power analog DC devices from the battery bank, with additional safety parameters. Please reach out to support@grapesolar.com for more information.

A:  This kit does not include mounting brackets.

A:  The charge controller included in this kit has a single USB port.
