Answer This Question
A: If you have 3/4 in thick wood, your 1-1/4 in screw will stick out 1/2 out.of the wood. The 1-1/2 in screw will stick out 3/4 in. Are either scenarios a problem? Good luck!
by|May 7, 2019
A: The 1-1/4 will be ok if used 12" on center. I don't think they make a 1-1/2" in course or fine but possibly for self tappers (TEK). They do make a 1-5/8" if you need the extra penetration.

A: Depending on your application, as a general rule, select a screw length that is length of the material plus at least half the length of the material it is being screwed into. Please keep in mind that there are other factors that may affect the recommendation, such as weight of the material the screw may support or angle of installation.
