A:  Hello, and thanks for your question. This and all of our cupola designs accept up to a 10/12 pitch roof. If the roof is steeper than 10/12, you would have to contact us directly (800-852-3002) to special order a base to handle the steeper pitch. Also, the pitch is cut into the base at the job site. A:  Great question. All our cupolas are weathervane ready. This means there is a hole in the top of the cupola and a cross bar inside the roof with a mount in it with a set screw. If it is a standing seam, the seams will need to be cut into the base to allow for a proper and clean installation. https://gooddirections.com/pages/instructions 36” is a great size for a 48' roof.
