Q:I see two DIFFERENT replies directly from Globe Electric contradicting themselves. One saying, Yes, these are IC-rated. Then another saying, No, these aren't IC-rated? Which is it guys before someone's house burns down.

            Q:It states in the description AND the specifications that these lights are I/C rated, yet I see in the Q and As that Globe says they are not. Which is it? Very confusing.

              A:  Globe makes one: Globe Electric 12 in. Aluminum Recessed Housing Insulation Box. The other alternative is to use an IC rated lighting kit. In any case an LED bulb reduces the heat given off.
