A: I already made a review on this product and answered some one else's question, i'm sure you can find both comments with pictures on the customer reviews page for this product but to answer your question, i would say yes it can be used any where as long as all the screws go into solid wood or metal because the strength of the pull and push this product has i think the screws would pull out eventually if not put in something solid .this product works great for me needs and would recommend it to every one and was easy to install also you can find videos on you tube to get an idea on how to install it on both sides of the door opening left or right
i hope this helps
good luck

Q:Can I use the closer on a gate outside exposed to rain in Florida

Answer This Question
A: The closer is made of very heavy aluminum with a plastic cover and the unit is completely sealed with no vents that I can see. I am also using mine in Florida. But it is inside. It would probably last as long as any thing does outdoors down here, cause even plastic seems to corrode in this environment.
