Do not install this mat on textured or uneven surfaces as this could result in slipping or injury. Also, be sure to wet the surface of your tub with a small amount of water before installing the mat. A:  I would not rely on it being slip resistant. Especially when you first put it in your tub or shower. Be aware it may slip when you first use it, but after it gets settled it works pretty well. Just be careful, many accidents happen in the bathroom

A:  I have only tried it on my smooth bathtub, to which it adheres very well. Best guess is that it will adhere unless the surface is extremely uneven.

A:  Not sure. But think it is only rubber.

A:  The mat has many small rubber suction cups permanently attached to the back. However, as I mentioned in my review, the mat doesn't adhere to the floor very well. The corners turned up, and I had to grab hold of the safety bar in my shower to make sure I didn't fall. I've had other mats that worked fine. This was just my experience, as others seemed to like it.

A:  Yes the bottom of the bath mat has suction cups.

A:  They have suction cups. The suction cups are about 3/4" in diameter so they hold well. The last mat I had had tons of little suction cups and and held well, but it was really a flaw in the plan because they started ripping off the mat after a while - leaving holes. Another mat I tried, hurt your feet to stand on, because you could feel the suction cups through the mat. Not so with this one, It is very comfortable to stand on. I recommend it highly.
