A: Only about an inch. I have an extensive shop in my garage. The only way I can make full use of my radial saw, table saw, jointer and drill press was to place them on mobile bases. This allows me to place them anywhere I need, when I need to.

A: I bought this mobil base to put my band saw on. I've gotten tired of pulling the band saw around the garage to get it in the position I need to do a variety of projects. The base turned out to be exactly what I needed. It was easy to assemble, handles the 250 pound band saw with easy, and only raises the the tool less than an inch to move it around on all 4 wheels and returns to a stable position without a huge crash.

A: I installed it on a very heavy band saw and it could handle a good deal more. I think the instruction manual gives a weight limit.
