A: Yes, it's pretty sturdy & handles the weight of 2 hand towels fine. I think it needs to be taller tho: my towels drag on the countertop b/c the lower bar is only 12" tall. It needs to be at least 2" taller.

A: Not the latest version. We've purchased 3 of these and each bottom is different. We placed heavy foam on the bottom which also prevents slipping or scratching. It is strong and best in class.

A: 14", total, but that's at the highest point- a decorative knob. The lower towel bar is 12" tall & the higher bar is 12 3/4".
