A:  The battery I installed was the secondary one. So, the lamp was always on.

A:  No it does not come with an extension.

A:  The existing lamp wiring harness includes two places for batteries and connectors for two batteries. Only one is used so the second battery can be added by just plugging it in.

A:  The post lamp that i have has a slot for a second battery.
