A: Hello, and thanks for your question and interest in Gama Sonic products. The LEDs in the Prarie will last for years and years. They are integrated into the fixture and will not need to be replaced. The NiMH battery pack is good for about 1,000 charge/discharge cycles before it will need replacing. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help.

Q:If I don't want it on all night.

Answer This Question
A: Technically, yes, but it would be very inconvenient if you want to turn the light off daily. The switch is located in side the light housing, so you would have to remove the top of the light to access the switch. This requires the removal of two small upward facing screws. Although since the light is solar powered, I would expect it won't stay lit all night anyway - I haven't checked that out yet myself though.

A: Hello, and thank you for your question. Yes, there is an on/off switch, but it is underneath the top and would be inconvenient to use on a nightly basis. The switch is more for putting the fixture into a charge-only mode for an extended period of time.
If you are seeking a solar light fixture with an easily accessible on/off switch, the fixtures in our Victorian series have external on/off switches at the front of the the unit.

Q:What is the inside diameter for the mounting on the bottom of the lamp? What info do you have on the 3 in.. fitter brackets, same question as before .

Answer This Question
A: The lamp itself has a 3/8" threaded bolt hole on the bottom, into which you can screw one of three supplied mounting fittings. I used the 3-inch post fitting, which has an ID of 3 inches. It fit right onto my standard lamp post without issue. I needed a screw driver to mount the lamp onto my post, but no other tools were required.

A: Hello, and thanks for our question. I am not sure I understand exactly what your are asking. The Prairie comes with three interchangeable mounting brackets: a pier bracket that's about five inches wide for securing the fixture on a flat surface, like a wooden post or brick column; a fitter bracket for mounting the fixture on a cylindrical lamp pole that's three inches in diameter; or a wall sconce for hanging the fixture on the side of a building. You choose your bracket based on the way you want to install the fixture and then secure it to the threaded screw that is built into the fixture's frame.
