Q:This is labeleded as a “non automatic” disconnect. Are other models considered automatic? If so, what is the difference between them?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. The non-automatic disconnect is an off/off switch and does not have any "automatic" circuit protection like a circuit breaker would. It's purpose is to serve as a point of disconnect at an appliance, such as an air conditioner unit, for the protection of service person during maintenance. Other similar models include pull out handle style (TFN60RCP) and fusible pull out handle disconnects (TF60RCP and TF30RCP).

Answer This Question
A: Yes, the water heater requires a 30 amp breaker for protection. This is a 60 amp disconnect switch and it does not provide breaker protection. Also both elements do operate at the same timeout your heater.

Q:How to concert a 120 leg

Answer This Question
A: Hector, the disconnect is used mainly to switch 220v loads. To connect a 120v load you simply just use two, of the four lugs inside. When you open the front cover you will see four connection points. Stamped on the plastic dividers from left to right, are the words LINE-LOAD _ LOAD-LINE.
Connect your 120v source (hot wire) to the LINE, and your load(what your running power too) to the lug marked Load, and that's it. You can use the left two lugs , or the right two lugs, doesn't matter. DO NOT use two LINES, or two LOADS, if you do nothing will happen. Don't forget to turn power off before connecting this, or any switch. Shocks can kill, so be safe. Hope this helps
