A: Hi bill- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for considering our Over-The-Range Convection Microwave! Product rating is 120 volts AC, 60 Hertz, 15 amps and 1.75 kilowatts. The power supply cord and plug should be brought to a separate 15- to 20-ampere branch circuit single grounded outlet. It does not operate on 220V. Check out our GE PROFILE SERIES OVER-THE-RANGE OVEN WITH ADVANTIUM® TECHNOLOGY PSA9240SFSS (240V). This product requires a four-prong grounded outlet. Product rating is 120/208 or 120/240 volts, 60 Hertz, 30 amps and 6.5 kilowatts. Thanks for checking with us!
A: This is Lisa from GE Appliances. I am happy to assist you with your question. In order to install a GE Appliances over-the-range microwave under a 15" deep cabinet a Bump Out Kit is required. The 15" Cabinetry Bump Out Kit is a wall bracket that extends the unit forward by 3". The kit # is JX15BUMPBB. Thank you for considering GE Appliances!
A: Hello Susie44, I am happy to help. Model PVM9179SKSS offers a Chef Connect feature. Select Profile Series freestanding ranges and over the range microwaves offer Chef Connect. This feature allows you to sync the clocks on your range and over-the-range microwave, as well as synchronizes the range burners with the over-the-range microwave vent fan and light. Both the range and microwave must have the Chef Connect feature. How it works: Chef Connect uses bluetooth technology to pair compatible Chef Connect ranges and over-the-range microwaves. I hope this helps. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.
A: Hello JustVenting, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. I will be happy to help! This microwave is 300 CFM's. All GE and Hotpoint over-the-range microwaves have an automatic fan as a safety feature. This fan automatically turns on if the unit is overheating. This is in addition to the fan switch that manually controls the exhaust fan. The built-in thermostat causes the exhaust fan to turn on automatically if the temperature around the control panel rises to approximately 150 degrees F. This feature helps protect the electronic components and also helps the cooking area get rid of excess heat. The thermostat resets itself and the fan shuts off when the surface area cools to approximately 150 degrees F or less. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
