A:  Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. This refrigerator is a nice model. There is no cover over the light bulb. To change the bulb, you would unplug the refrigerator, reach up behind the the temperature controls and unscrew the light bulb. You would want to replace the bulb with the same or lower wattage. A:  Hello Lucus - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to this refrigerator. This refrigerator uses 120 volts, 60 Hz, and 15 amps. The running amperage is listed on the rating plate of the appliance. However, the start-up amperage could be as high as three times the normal running amps.
