Q:Is there a cover that goes over the light bulb in the refrigerator?
by|Jan 12, 2015

Answer This Question

A:  Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. This refrigerator is a nice model. There is no cover over the light bulb. To change the bulb, you would unplug the refrigerator, reach up behind the the temperature controls and unscrew the light bulb. You would want to replace the bulb with the same or lower wattage. Then plug the refrigerator back in. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

A:  Hello Lucus - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to this refrigerator. This refrigerator uses 120 volts, 60 Hz, and 15 amps. The running amperage is listed on the rating plate of the appliance. However, the start-up amperage could be as high as three times the normal running amps. Refrigerators need a generator that is approximately 3000-4500 watts. Please note: Amps X Volts = Watts. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi-this is Sue from GE. Thanks for your interest! The refrigerator should be plugged into a dedicated 15 amp electrical outlet (115 volt, 60 hertz, single phase AC). This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. Also, the running amps and volts are listed on the refrigerator rating plate located inside the unit. Thanks for checking with us!
