A:  Hello Holland - Congratulations on your new washer and dryer combination unit. This is Nancy at GE and I'm happy to help you. In the back of the Owner's Manual you will notice a section describing the washer sounds. It states that if you hear a back and forth swoosh or light "clicking" sound during agitation, this is most likely the cause of the electric motor reversing direction and is normal. This washer has a drive system that does not use gears. This sound is the motor rotating back and forth to agitate the laundry. I hope this information is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!

A:  Hello Big CE, Thank you for your question on the GE Unitized Spacemaker 3.3 cu. ft. Washer and 5.9 cu. ft. Gas Dryer model #GTUP270GMWW. This is a unitized or one piece model. It requires one power cord to run both appliances. If one is not reapairable, then the whole appliance would need to be replaced. A:  Hello, Thanks for contacting us. This is Alison with GE. I am happy to assist you with your inquiry. Allow me to clarify the definition of the "pause". (1) Pause= laps of time between the end of the drain and the spin. (2) Pause = laps of time between the wash/agitation and the spin (includes the drain time). If it’s (1), then the answer is 30 sec. It it’s (2), then it depends on the cycle. Different cycles have different types (lengths) of drain. So, the “pause” will be the 30 sec. mentioned above plus 3-4 min representing the specific drain time. Regarding the lid and how it operates (see below) - The lid lock activates during the drain and the spin cycles. During these two operations, the lid cannot be open, it’s locked. - The lid switch activates during the agitation. The lid can be open during this cycle (it’s not locked), but the agitation stops. The maximum wash cycle time would be an extra heavy cycle with a deep rinse which would be approximately 1 hour. A typical wash cycle would be approximately 35 minutes, which does not include the deep rinse. The deep rinse option would add another 3 to 4 minutes to the cycle. I hope this information is helpful. A:  It did not come with an LP conversion kit. Call GE with the model number and they can provide you with pricing for the kit.
