If you are going to vent the dryer out of the right side, please follow the Installation Instructions carefully. You will have to remove the knock-out plug as well as add an elbow and ducting. Electric dryer power cords are sold separately to ensure that they comply with all state and local wiring codes. These codes vary significantly from state to state, and even, city to city. Since it is not possible to anticipate the final destination of a dryer as it leaves the assembly line and install the proper cord, the local dealer usually provides the power cord. Power cords can be 3 prong or 4 prong. Four prong dryer cords are required in new installations beginning in 1996 An electric dryer needs a properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle is required for all GE dryers. * One 240/208v 30 amp circuit breaker or two 30 amp fuses are required for an electric dryer.
