A:  Hi-this is Sue from GE. We are happy to hear of your interest in our GE Built-In Dishwasher GSD3360DSS! The slot on the left hand side of the control panel is the vent. You may see water vapor (or steam) coming out of the vent near the door latch, during the dishwasher operation. The door latch is located in the center of the control panel. Tough, durable polypropylene-base material similar to that used in battery cases and football helmets was specially formulated to create the PermaTuf tub and door liner.
