Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kathy - The refrigerator does not have zero clearance hinges so the doors will extend past the case when open: Width with door open 90 Degrees less handle is 36 1/4 in. (Overall Width 35 3/4 in; Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees Incl. Handle 43 1/2 in). See Specifications document for more dimensions: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/10/102a38f1-3117-4f57-ab43-b3d3ab8de0f7.pdf - Thanks for considering GE. We hope it fits! Sue

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi FilterlessInSeattle - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the filter. We apologize for any confusion. Select models manufactured after June 2018 use XWF (Prior models MWF/MWFP). If your model has a filter cartridge housing that opens by squeezing the 2 front tabs and gently pulling down, (see page 9 of the Owner's Manual) use XWF. If the filter is exposed (see page 8 of the Owner's Manual) use MWF/MWFP. Q:Why does my ge Adora refrigerator make a pulsing sound when the fan is running?
      by|Jul 16, 2019

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Barb - You may hear the fans spinning at high speeds. This happens when the refrigerator is first plugged in, when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food is added to the refrigerator or freezer compartments. The fans are helping to maintain the correct temperatures. Also, the fans change speeds in order to provide optimal cooling and energy savings. See page 32 of the Use and Care Manual- Normal Operating Conditions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60646-6.PDF - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue

A:  Never had this issue after about two and one half years.

            by|May 20, 2019

A:  Hi Abe - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! You should not expect the water to freeze on your new GE Adora refrigerator. A refrigerator should be 3/4 full for best performance. Low food load in the fresh food section can cause the tank to freeze. Set controls to factory settings. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - We are always eager to help! Sue

A:  Hi Gus - The refrigerator is equipped with LED lighting in the fresh food and freezer compartments that illuminate when the doors are opened. See page 19 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60646-6.PDF - Thanks for viewing GE. Keep in touch! Sue

A:  Very good interior lighting. Bright white (commonly called daylight). On the refrigerator side there are two at the top front and two down the right side. Two on the freezer side, one near the top back and one at the bottom front. No problems in the two or so years of our ownership.

                Answer This Question

A:  Hi Deb - Counter-depth refrigerators blend in almost seamlessly with surrounding cabinetry, providing a built-in look without the built-in expense. They aren’t built in, but they do sit closer to the surrounding cabinetry, for a nearly-flush appearance. Check out Model# GZS22DSJSS and Model# PZS22MSKSS. Keep in touch! Sue

                  by|Feb 26, 2019

A:  Hi Wolf- Thanks for considering our GE Adora Series! The doors on these models are essentially the same other than appearance. There are no known issues related to the water line freezing in the freezer door which can be solved by placing foam insulation over the water line. Foam insulation processes have changed over time and strict quality controls are adhered to during manufacturing. A frozen water line in the freezer door is more likely related to a failed dispenser board circuit or recess heater, not insulation. Keep in touch! Sue
