Q:Can this be used with a fax machine and a phone line with the dual jack?

A: Hi Hoppy, thank you for your question. Yes, you can connect a phone and one other phone line device (phones, fax machines, modems, etc) on the dual jack. A: Yes hooked my home phone to one side and the fax to the other. If your using it with your home phone make sure you disable auto answer on the fax
