Q:The old tiles have a starter strip on the bottom of the rows , do I need to get a strip to replace the asbestos tiles? I hop not I was just nailing them in or let them sit on the strip if one was there

A: Hello, you may be able to do that, but our product testing, code body approvals, and published instructions are based off the product being face-nailed through the pre-drilled nail holes that are located at the bottom edge of each shingle course. Thank you

Q:Can these be used for siding on a shed.
Can they be glued as well as nailed for extra security/stability ?
Or screwed. But thinking that will cause cracks

A: No. It is actually very brittle just like the old asbestos tiles. It comes with nail holes for install, but if you need to make any other holes, I would recommend pre drilling in order to avoid cracking.
