A:  The rake is 7” wide I was concerned about this when ordering. I thought it must be a miss print.

A:  The 2" may apply to the teeth of the green rake, all tools are proportionate. Nice set.

A:  They were all appropriately and proportionally sized. I let my niece take them home so cannot measure.2" may apply to teeth on green rake?

A:  No that is incorrect. I purchased probably over a year ago when my grandson was 4. He is almost 6 now and just recently used them to help me dig in the garden. I just sent them to his house so at this moment I am unable to measure but I will next time I am there. He loves them.

A:  Here is from the set I have: The yellow rake is about 30" long and 8" wide at the tines. The green rake is 25" long and stiff tines are 7" wide. The red hoe is about 28" long and 4 1/2" wide. I don't have the shovel here but guessing the same as the others about 29" long and about 8" wide. The shovel is sturdy and does good in soft dirt but still can bend in hard dirt. It is a good set for young children but they need supervision if there are more than one around. They can hurt one another when the kids start swinging then around. And the green tine rake can be dangerous just like an adult tine rake so I keep that and the red hoe in the garage until i feel they can use them properly.

A:  I ordered them on line. My granddaughter loves them.

A:  I couldn't find any stores in my area that had these in stock; but you can order the set on line with free shipping to a store near you. That's how I purchased mine last year, and I will say that they have lasted pretty well and so far survived my three grandchildren where many toys have not.

A:  I could not find this set in stores. I ordered online, took about a week to get them.

A:  You can request to be in the store, then we are in the store. Online for now

A:  I had to order them online. My Grandson just loved them.

A:  We live in Oregon and made a large sand pile in our back yard for our grandson and he uses the tools in the sand all the time. We got him a little wheelbarrow as well so he can dig up sand and put it in the barrow. The tools work great in the sand. I think all kids would enjoy using these tools in sand as well as in the garden. Hope that helps.

A:  I can't think of a reason why they couldn't.

A:  I guess it depends on what he is doing. Just playing and moving it around, of course. My grandson fills a kid wheel box with sand or dirt, readily.

A:  Sure, they are sturdy and can be used easily in sand.

A:  Id say yes. The rake might not be much help but yes the rest would be perfect for sand.

A:  Absolutely, especially if they want to "help" mom and dad with yard work and gardening.

A:  My grandson is five and he enjoys them.

A:  Definitely for the 5 year old. My granddaughter is 3 and loves them.

A:  perfect for 5 year old, Too large for toddler and would become a weapon,

A:  Not for toddlers - but ages 5-6-7-8 would love them!
