A:  There is no way to determine how much product you need to fill in the crack, because there is no definition on width or depth, and depending on whether you’re going to cover it with cement or caulk

      Answer This Question

A:  No it will not work. You need to replace with same type of gasket. Contact maker of freezer for replacement part.

A:  It probably could for a short time, It would not have the factory flanges to attach it properly and would have to be glued or taped on and it is very porous and would probably get mould growing on it in a short time, yuck! & because as it is quite porous it isn't as strong as the factory plastic/ rubber gasket and would tear easily. I would suggest it could be used for the short time it would take to order the correct one in. I owned and operated a refrigeration heating and cooling business for 35 years and never experienced anyone using this product for this purpose.

A:  yes that is what I purchased and used it for. Worked great for me. I did cover it with caulk though. I feel it will last longer by covering it.

A:  Only if you are caulking over the backer rod. It is not really made for driveways

Q:Thank you for the previous answer. Two more: what does E/O stand for? To my knowledge, this tubular product sells as "Poly Foam Caulk Saver." Does the "Poly" stand for "polyurethane?" I would rather not guess as to what it means. These questions are for your expert.

Q:Surely you, Home Depot, are best placed to answer authoritatively whether this is open cell or closed cell. Why ask your customers? That is evasion of responsibility.
