A:  This door sweep will not stop rodents and if you mean the overhead door, no it is not long enough.

A:  This exact size does not come in brown. We do make a 2-3/8" tall door sweep in Brown or a 1-5/8" tall too!

A:  I don't know. I suggesr you go to Home Depot to inquire. Or go to Homedepot.com to look. If not, go on-line and I'm certain you can find a dark bronze or chocolate brown color.

A:  Yes easily, using either a tinsnip or a hack saw.

A:  Yes it can be trimmed.

A:  Yes you can trim it using a hacksaw.

A:  If you are referring to the length, yes. Simply use a Sharpie to make a mark where you want to trim it and use a hacksaw. It is aluminum, so it cuts pretty easily.

A:  There is a bottom made for Screen Doors. It is 1" to 1-1/2" adjustable storm door bottom.

A:  This door sweep will cover the 1" gap.

A:  Actually, my neighbor did and it worked! He just placed it a little more lower to the floor!

A:  This brush sweep will not keep mice out. You need a solid sweep for that purpose.

A:  It is a 3/4” long white Phillips Head screw.

A:  This is not a sound deadening device or noise canceling It will help reduce noise in some cases.

A:  No, it is not recommended to be used with entry way rug.

A:  The brush should not get caught.

A:  If the "rug" is anchored (by adhesive) to the floor (as in a typical wall-to-wall carpeting installation), the brush door sweep will probably (PROBABLY) pass over the rug, depending on the thickness of the rug. So with the information you've provided, I can't answer with more certainty. If the "rug" is a throw-type rug, it's probable that the "rug" will not remain in place when the door is opened. The brush is rigid and dense. If it were not , it wouldn't resist air infiltration and provide the seal to (help) keep insects, etc out of the inside area.

A:  my sweep has 5 screw holes

A:  On a 36" I think there is 3 holes but the wider you get the more holes there is.

A:  you got me on the floor with a flashlight running my finger along the sweep and I count FIVE (5)

A:  It's been a while since I installed this sweep at a customers site. But as I remember there are holes about every 6". I was able to use most of them but since I had to cut it to fit my door application I needed to drill two additional holes. Since the frame is aluminum it easy to drill as needed.

A:  There are 4 holes for screws on top the door sweep.
