A:  Hi Kim, we do not sell the door shelf as a singular unit. My suggestion would be to contact the manufacturer. For your convenience I have linked below their website which includes their contact information. https://www.frigidaire.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIweLFt4u01gIVXbnACh1L1wh-EAAYASAAEgKOYPD_BwE

Q:We use a lot of ice, how does the ice maker work?

A:  For myself it produces plenty of ice. It has a large reservoir too. There is no such thing as instant ice in any make refrigerator/freezer I know of. Freezer set at 0 degrees F, water freezes at 32 degrees F. So X quantity of water will freeze at x amount of time.

A:  Mine makes the equivalent of a 5 lb bag of cubes the size you would find in a normal ice tray. It will make it fairly rapidly if you use it all up, and will constantly refill if the 'bucket' is partially empty and the ice make is turned on. The ice maker is also fairly noisy as it empties the ice into the bucket and is the only noisy thing about this refrig.

Q:how do i adjust ice production?

          Answer This Question

A:  The ice maker is either in the on or off position. It can not be adjusted to produce more or less ice unless you turn it off by lifting up the lever over the ice tray. I usually turn it off at night because filling the ice bucket is loud enough that it will wake up a light sleeper....like me.

A:  The ice maker is timed at the factory internally. There is no adjustment to this that I know of. You can turn the ice maker off by removing the ice cream shelf above the ice maker and pushing the switch off or on. I drilled a one and a half inch hole in the upper left corner of the shelf so I do not have to remove the shelf to activate the switch. You can too.

A:  As far as I know this annoying feature can not be changed without substantial rewiring that would probably void the warranty.

Q:Can i get ice out of the freezer manually or only through the door dispenser?

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes, there are two ways to do that. You can remove the ice container by pulling straight out. You can remove the upper ice cream shelf and reach in for ice. If you like to get ice manually frequently you can leave the ice cream shelf out permanently. You have to remove that shelf to turn the ice maker off and on unless you cut a hole in the upper left corner like I did.

A:  Hello Curious! You are able to access the icemaker bin from the freezer or the door dispenser. Please, do not hesitate to contact us directly or via the Q&A forum on this website for any additional assistance. –Thanks!-

A:  Yes, jut open the freezer door and pull the ice tray out or flip up the lid and reach in and pull out a few cubes. It is faster and the ice from the door dispenser sometimes bounces off the edge of the glass and falls on the floor. I do this a lot more often than using the door dispenser.
