A:  I've had this unit since September 2017 and I'm very happy with it. Attached is a picture of the inside with a 10" plate inside. There is still about 2 1/2" between the top of the plate and the water sprayer mechanism.

A:  I haven't noticed it being too loud, so I never thought of using insulation. It was the least expensive stainless unit they had at the time I needed one, so I didn't expect it to be super quiet.

A:  When you pull this dishwasher up on the website, you can look at the manuals, specifications, etc. Sometime it shows other optional things you can purchase. I don't think this has the option to buy panels to change the color. To change the color of your dishwasher, perhaps you could find some kind of stick on pieces by searching the internet. I think there is also spray on stainless paint. I would just buy a new unit. This one is not very expensive and is overall a great dishwasher. I love mine.
