A: Had to look up a "Tico" or "Teco", but yes, it's a metal connector nailer. I used two size nails with it: 1 1/2" and 2 1/2".
Works well on low volume production, the only con so far: it's loud. Probably the loudest framing nail gun I've had.

A: No, only 35 Degree metal connector nails work in this nailer. Freeman makes a 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" and Bostitch Strapshot Metal Connector nails work too.
