A:  Yes, we did cut the bar with a pipe cutter in order to fit properly. The bar is hollow. Be careful not to crimp the pipe when cutting.

Q:Are the flanges already affixed to the bar?

                Answer This Question

A:  No, the flanges slide on the bar. We also had to cut the bar to fit the space. You might want to consider inserting a dowel in the pipe to cut without crimping the metal, though we didn't do that.
