A:  No, this is not stackable, it can be expanded though.

          by|Apr 20, 2019

A:  The Frameitall website says "stack to any level". You will need to purchase extra brackets, though to accomplish the stacking.

A:  Given the way the design works, yes I would think you could though I have not actually done that. There are molded plastic stakes in the joiner pieces, they can stack together infinitely. I made a rod 6' long putting them together just goofing round. So doing 4 boards tall should be very possible/

A:  The company says they can be stacked and gives an example of stacking them 4-high. I found that stacking them 2-high is not a very good idea. They function as a garden, but the appearance is not very good due to warping and tilting.

A:  I wouldn’t recommend it. I did three boards high an the entire walls are sagging and bending after a year.

Q:Since this is 'composite' material, what specifically is holding the plastic and wood pulp together? What potentially toxic materials are used in the composition that might leach into the soil and/or vegetables? Can you guarantee there are no toxic materials that will leach out of the product?

                    Answer This Question

A:  I'm not sure what the binders are, but I had the same concerns. I contacted the manufacturer directly and they disclosed a 'small amount' of formaldehyde and 'assured' me the boards are non-toxic. That being said, nothing you grow in is totally inert, or without problems such as wood rotting. In the end I decided the long-term durability was worth what I deemed to be a minor risk. I think pollution and ambient chemicals in the air and water present a much greater risk. Toxins are everywhere and nearly impossible to avoid today.

A:  The anchor kits, on the ends, hold it together. Two screws on each end piece, one on each side. The anchor stake goes through the hoops at the end, and you beat it into the ground. I use a rubber mallet. Very easy to put together!! As far as toxic materials, I think that you would have to check with the company of what is used. We have been using these products for 5 yrs, vegy garden & flower beds. We go to our doctor for our regular check ups and we never have had any ill effects from using this product in our vegy garden.

A:  Here is a link to all of the Fram-it-all components. https://www.homedepot.com/b/N-5yc1v/Ntk-all/Ntt-frame%2Bit%2Ball?NCNI-5&Nao=48&Ns=None if you wanted to add 2 feet to a side you would have to cut sections and and add joint components. It can be done but you are limited by the available components.

A:  Yes. You just need to be sure you get the right number of either 2 way or 3-4 way brackets.

A:  Yes, it's the "animal barrier". The Frameitall website indicates they've recently redesigned it and now it's called the (New) Stack and Extend Animal Barrier. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frame-It-All-48-in-x-24-in-x-48-in-Stainless-Steel-Stack-and-Extend-Animal-Barrier-300001003/304236544?keyword=frame+it+all+animal+barrier&semanticToken=212t000+++%3E++++st%3A%7Bframe+it+all+animal+barrier%7D%3Ast++cn%3A%7B0%3A0%7D++cn%3A%7B7%3A0%7D++frame+it+all+%7Bbrand%7D+animal+barrier+%7Brest%7D++dln%3A%7B556248%7D+qu%3A%7Banimal+barrier%7D

A:  None that I am aware of. I believe 1/2 inch rebar fits inside the connector stakes if you remove the cap cover disks. 1/2 inch pc pipe fits over the rebar and can be bent into an arch shape to be secured. Looks like a covered wagon from the 19th century. Cover with bird netting and secure with 2 inch clips. The kind that you find in office or school supply areas in a store

A:  Yes, it's the Animal Barrier: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frame-It-All-48-in-x-24-in-x-48-in-Stainless-Steel-Stack-and-Extend-Animal-Barrier-300001003/304236544 Please note that Frame it All changes their products sometimes. I had the original kit from like 7 years ago and it was basically green spray painted chicken wire. They then switched to a nylon-type "net" instead of the wire chicken mesh. the new picture kinda looks like the more firm plastic netting, so I don't know what type of material the netting actually is. I would stress it's "resistant". Rabbits will chew through the nylon mesh. Don't know about the firm plastic stuff. If your beds are shaped differently (mine is kinda like an "H" pattern) you can just buy 2 or more of the kits and connect them as you wish. They don't need to be in a square.

A:  yes, there are two different types. i bought it from a different retailer. its made by the same company as the bed (frame it all) and if you go to their website you can see pictures and a video. you can then google the product and see who sells it (it sells for a few dollars less than the company's website).
