A: No, the saw doesn't come with a sharpening kit.
A: NO, but is very sharp, great for pruning trees
A: No
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. No, our pruning saws do not come with a sharpening kit.
A: No
A: No, it does not come with a sharpening kit.
A: Sorry, Statikboy, but no, this saw does not come with a sharpening kit. However, Home Depot does carry various types of blade sharpening tools. Good luck!
A: It does not
A: No
A: Yes, it is like a saw that can be moved back and forth. Then it cuts both ways.
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. At this time, all of our folding saws cut on the pull, and clean on the push. We don't have any current models that cut for both the push and pull.
A: Yes - cuts both forward and back!
A: Yes
A: No, blade on one side
A: I just wipe with clean dry cloth. If you could leave in sun to sterilize that might be good too. Sometimes before use I will wipe my blades with a bleach solution.
A: I don't know if it's "proper", but I just wipe mine off with a damp cloth if needed.
A: Whichever way you want, really. This tool is a no brained to use or to maintain.
A: Use the water hose then wipe it off!
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. For cleaning saw blades, we recommend applying a light alcohol solution with a soft cloth. It is important to dry the tool quickly after cleaning to prevent rust.
A: As I answered this previously. someone is not paying attention. Since their are no , or were no spare blades available, and no associate to ask this question, The answer has to be no. However if there were spare blades available in/on the aisle, then judging from the looks of the pruner, the blade could be replaced.
A: Hi katydid. Thank you for your great question. According to Friskars Customer Support, there are no replacement blades for this model. Fiskars recommends regular cleaning and sharpening of your blade for best results. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC
A: No
A: Although the blade "could" be replaced, I saw no spare blades on aisle, and no associate to answer this question. So I will say No.
A: It depends on your SKILL LEVELS and the price of PROFESSIONAL SHARPENING.
A: I don't know if the blade can be replaced. My blade is still sharp after few months of using, I just cleaned it after every use.
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. There are no replacement blades for this model. We recommend regular cleaning and sharpening for best results.
A: Yes.
A: I would bite the bullet and buy a new pair. If you keep the blade away from dirt and rocks they should stay sharp for a long time. Also dead wood or dry wood seem to dull the blade quicker. To answer your question it would probably cost nearly the same to replace the blade as it would to buy new.
A: Has collapsable sleeve that covers the blade
A: Mine didn't come with a carrying case, but the blade does fold in so the blade and user are protected when carrying it around.
A: It does not come with a carrying case or sheath
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. This item does not currently have a carrying case available.
A: No
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. This item is manufactured in China.
A: The packaging states it is made in China.
A: Somewhere in Scandinavia.
A: Fiskars is a Finnish company. But I believe they sub this out to a Chinese company to be made.
A: china
A: Home Depot
A: I am not sure if the blade is replaceable. It looks like it cannot be removed without damaging the whole mechanism that clicks it in place (there are two different ways to use the saw--the picture shows one, and the blade can be rotated to the next setting so it is upside down in order to saw from the bottom of a branch upwards).
A: Home Depot shows it on their website: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Fiskars-Replacement-Saw-Blade-for-Pro-10-in-Folding-Saw-384960/308727488
A: Try a google search for this part number. Fiskars 390470-1002
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. This saw does not have replaceable blades available.
A: Just longer, no more sturdier or anything, still flimsy.
A: The 10in is more useful. You can cut bigger branches.
A: Hi John, I did not find a 7 inch version of the Fiskars Pruning Saw, but I found a Corona 7 inch Pruning Saw. They are very similar in design and are both a great value. The longer blade of the Fiskars might give that saw a greater value, along with its availability in most Home Depot stores. Corona Saws are of the highest quality, and if a more compact blade is desirable, this saw may be a great choice. Compare these two saws here: http://www.homedepot.com/p/compare?errorURL=ProductAttributeErrorView&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&prodComp_0=204667606&prodComp_1=202343683&keyword=pruning%20saw Thank you for asking, -Travis
A: Yes great experience with this tool excellent choices I am happy with it
A: Depends on the size of the branches and how often you will need to use it for other similar jobs.
A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. To release the blade, depress the round orang button on the side of the saw. You should be able to feel the latch release which allows the blade to swing open.
A: Blade rotates it does not pull out. If that doesn't work take it back to the store. The button should work.
A: Mine opens when I push the orange button and swing the blade out. Not spring loaded
A: Try holding the saw in your right hand and push the button with your thumb. While holding the button down, pull on the blade at the opposite end from the button. You can feel the locking mechanism detach. Swung out easily for me.
A: Posh the button and rotate
