Q:Hi, I saw FireSense answered a previous question about a dimmer switch saying: You will need to find a 15amp dimmer that can handle 15,000 watts. Is this correct or was it supposed to be 1,500 watts?

Q:Is there just one bulb? Is there a power setting to vary the level of heat? If not do I need to provide a control switch to vary the wattage?

Answer This Question
A: Hi,
The unit will take just one bulb and it doesn't have a switch to adjust the heat intensity unless you install a dimmer on it. The part number for the dimmer is 300190518
Thank you.

Q:I know this does NOT come with a remote but is there an after market remote or anything I can do besides get a chair and plug it into the ceiling each time? Adding a few switches is also problematic for the areas I have them but would be the other option.

A: No. If there is an aftermarket remote that can be installed it would also require hardwiring. In my case for installation I hardwired the heater to a light switch and it worked well for me. If you are not electrically inclined and a remote is necessary for your purposes then I would recommend looking for a different heater.
