You could order this product in the quantity needed for your job or you could purchase this moulding in a doorpack, which is a bundle of 5 - 84" pieces, enough to case out both sides of a door opening.       A:  It would be, yes. However the "slant" isn't as deep as traditional crown molding. It would be flat. Probably would look nice though.
