      Answer This Question

A:  No as the cold affects them and with a plastic fence net on them when the wind blows they crack and break. I've had 7 of my 15 break.

A:  Probably not. I used that light weight orange plastic fence you see at construction sites and it was kind of wobbly even with that. If you're talking the wooden snow fence, I would think not. The spikes seem sturdy, but the plastic post really flexes easily. You'd be wasting your time if you were thinking for sand use.

        by|Jan 8, 2022

A:  That is actually exactly how we use it. The snow fence was a little taller than the post so I trimmed the top of the fence to make it work.

          by|Jan 8, 2022

A:  This has not been tested for use on snow fences, and we do not recommend such.

A:  Hi, it depends on if you set the stakes before the ground froze. These are plastic stakes with multiple L shaped hooks for attaching soft fencing like bird netting, and a strong steel spike about a foot long encased in the bottom part. I didn't have much hope for them and bird netting to keep the deer herds from getting to my hostas, but they have done the job wonderfully. Also, I left them in the ground over winter, because the deer dig up the plants in late fall and early spring, and the stakes have survived with no deterioration. [I thought they'd be crumbled by our 2020 9 degree winter.] Two years later, the first stakes are still fine.

Q:Can you please order and get this fence post in the Black color? The black one is online but it is not available to order at all. I am here May 02, 2020. I believe it will sell well in black as black is so versatile and will do well with lawn and garden projects with a silver or black fence materials and black will do so much better blending in to landscaping versus the white. Thanks.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it would work if you are installing it into the ground, not asphalt or cement. You might want 2 posts, one on each side of the sign, to stabilize the sign in high winds. To install the posts, use the step to push the metal tip down into the ground. Tie the sign tightly on each side to the clips on the posts. I have used these posts successfully over the last 5 years for plastic garden fencing and they work very well for other purposes as well.

A:  I would say NO. The post is easily removed from the ground. The install is easy, just step on the tab and push into the ground. It may work for temporary placement. I use them for tempory caution line tape holders for work sites.

A:  I used plastic netting on mine. It worked fine. I guess it would depend on what you are trying to keep in/out. We just wanted to deter the dog, and it did. Was easy to stretch it on tight. Not sure about chicken wire. It would be hard to stretch it tight. Also, it helps if you have something solidly placed at the start and end to attach your wire to. These will lean if pulled on.

A:  That's what I'm using them with. I could attach one or two lattice squares to it (it does slip in nicely), but the rest of my fence just didn't really align with it. If yours aligns properly, you should have no trouble. I've secured the rest with cable ties.

A:  Yes, they are open on the top and about 1 1/2 " down. But will break because they are only plastic.

A:  Yes, the clips have an opening at the top so a wire can be clipped on easily.
